Commuter Student Orientation
Maybe you are a commuter student by choice, feeling that life in the residence halls is not for you. Perhaps you would have liked to live on campus but for economic reasons have chosen to commute instead. Whatever your reason, being a commuter student does not mean that you are excluded from campus life. On the contrary, you should make sure to become connected and involved. How do you do that? Come to orientation and you will find out.
Orientation is not only about getting your schedule, ID, parking decal, and computer accounts but also about making connections. Connections with the faculty of your major, your academic dean, and most of all your fellow classmates. You will learn about activities on campus and how to become a part of all that is going on.
To make sure we address the concerns of commuter students in particular, we are planning a special Commuter Student Orientation for all commuter students during Welcome Week in August. More information will be made available on the Welcome Week web page.
