Welcome to Western Connecticut State University's January Orientation
website. When is January Orientation? January Orientation is scheduled for Sunday, January 13, 2013 at 1pm. Students and parents should gather in the Westside Campus Center Ballroom. Please check our website for weather alerts or tune in to your local TV or radio station for weather related closings. You can also sign up for our Emergency Notification System. The snow date is Monday, January 14, 2013 at 6pm also in the Westside Campus Center Ballroom. Please let us know if you are planning to
attend by completing the RSVP form below: Where is January Orientation? Westside Campus Center Ballroom What is January Orientation? Events: Some offices on the Midtown campus will be open in the
morning of January 13, 2013. You and your parents are invited to a special Orientation Session on Sunday, January 13th at 1:00 p.m. in in the Campus Center Ballroom on the Westside campus. Coffee and dessert will be provided at the conclusion of the event. The main program will begin at 1:00 p.m. with a welcome from President Schmotter. Students will then join their academic deans and faculty from their major for academic sessions while the parents attend an introductory workshop which answers questions and provides suggestions on how best to support you, the student, during your career at Western. Location: If you would like to attend January Orientation, we ask that you please call us at 203-837-9700 with your name, major and the number of people that will be attending, or you could respond online by filling out an RSVP form. On the Westside campus, The Daily Grind in the Campus Center will open at noon for students and parents who wish to purchase light refreshments before orientation begins at 1pm. On Midtown, several small establishments are within walking distance of the campus. What requirements are there before I am allowed to register?
