Fairfield Hall Comprehensive Renovation

Description:  Fairfield Hall, a women’s residence hall built in 1926, with an addition constructed in 1954, has been in continuous use ever since.  This project provides for a comprehensive rehabilitation/renovation of the three-story, 32,879 sq. ft. building.  Project scope includes removal of existing terra cotta block walls between units and reconfiguration of room layouts. New partitions, ceilings, lights, flooring, doors and associated hardware, as well as electrical, mechanical, and telecommunications/data systems’ upgrades shall provide for code-compliant, energy-efficient living units.  This project will also address a number of code, life safety and accessibility issues.
