The university’s campus at Naugatuck Valley Community College in Waterbury began offering “Small Business Management” as part of the Small Business Entrepreneurial Management option — making students majoring in business administration even more versatile in today’s competitive job market.
The course prepares students to lead and manage in a small business environment. Special attention is given to operating small businesses in their early stage. The course also looks at the role of small business in the economy.
Other new additions at WestConn at Waterbury include Latin I and II courses this summer, and the recent completion of a nursing lab/classroom in Founders Hall. The nursing classroom includes five simulated hospital rooms, and SimWoman, a computerized “patient” who can communicate with nursing students.
