Conor Bierfeldt hit .615 from the plate (8-for-13) to power Western Connecticut to a 1-2 record for the week ending March 11.

The junior from Torrington, Conn. recorded four extra base hits, including two home runs, and drove in a team-high 10 RBI in a three-game series against Emory & Henry.

In his 2012 debut, Bierfeldt went 2-for-4 from the dish with a home run.

He enjoyed his most successful day at the plate in the series finale when Bierfeldt reached safely in four of his five appearances.

He recorded a pair of extra-base hits—home run and triple—and also drove in a season-high four runs.
