NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA (Oct. 25) —  Western Connecticut State University freshman goal keeper Alyssa Picariello (Montrose, NY) has been named Little East Conference Field Hockey Rookie of the Week, for the week ending October 23.

In her lone start of the week, Picariello anchored the Western Connecticut defensive attack against
Westfield State. The freshman from Montrose, N.Y. made a career-high 12 saves to lift the Colonials to a
2-1 victory over the Owls.
