Will Blanden returns to the state of Connecticut after residing in the metro Washington D.C. area.

He enters his first season at WestConn and will be working with the defensive backs in 2009.

Blanden played collegiately at Howard University in the nation’s capital from 2003 to 2007. After two seasons as a walk-on non-scholarship two-sport athlete (football and basketball), he earned a scholarship at Howard.

After playing multiple positions on the field, he finally found his fit at quarterback in the 2006 season, where he started for the majority of the season.

Blanden is a native of Waterbury, CT, where he played quarterback and defensive back at Wilby High School and later The Taft School in Watertown.

He holds a Bachelor’s in Accounting and is pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration
