Richard Connors
Assistant Defensive Line

Richard Connors is entering his first season as a part of the Western Connecticut State University Football program as an Assistant Defensive Line Coach. Connors comes to WCSU after spending the 2011 season coaching in a Semi-Pro- American football league in Argentina.

Prior to his stint in Argentina, Connors served as the Offensive and Defensive Line coach at Crosby High School, Waterbury, CT.

Connors lettered at University of New Haven for one year, before transferring to University of Connecticut. Connors lettered for three years on defense at UConn and was named Team Captain his senior year.

After graduating from the University of Connecticut, Connors served with the CT State Police for 10 years as Trooper First Class, before retiring in 2007.

Connors is a native of Seymour, CT, and a graduate Seymour High School.
