Mark Pataky returns to Western Connecticut State University for his second tour as Assistant Men's Soccer Coach. His concentration will be with the goalkeepers in his third season at his alma meter.
He was an assistant back in 2005 and 2006 for the men's team after volunteering during the non-traditional women's soccer season in the spring of 2006.
Pataky, a Trumbull, CT native, was an All-American Honorable Mention selection during his junior and senior campaigns for the Colonials. He was also a two-time All-New England, four-time All-Little East Conference All-Star and LEC Defensive Player of the Year as a junior and senior.
During his stellar collegiate career, he sets nearly every goal-keeping record including; career shutouts (36), shut outs in a season (36), wins (tied with Jason Rakauskas (44), most consecutive shut outs (15), most saves in a season (125) as well as most minutes played and lowest goals-against average.
Pataky has also held several coaching positions at the club, premier and high school levels since 2004.
He graduated for the Western with a degree in Health Education.
