Western blanks Bard, 9-0 on Thursday


DANBURY, CT (Apr. 12) — The Western Connecticut State University men's tennis team improved to 3-2 on the season after blanking Bard College, 9-0 at Westside Courts on Thursday afternoon.

The Colonials won each of the singles matches in straight sets except for second solos. Austin Werner (Fairfield, CT) needed three sets to defeat Brian Bollman (Gaithersburg, MD), 6-2, 4-6, 10-7 in a pro set.

Western travels to University of Southern Maine on Saturday for a meeting with the Huskies.
