Caitlin Avery and Nicole Sieber named to NSCAA/Performance Subaru Women's NCAA Division III All-New England Regional First Team

KANSAS CITY, KS (Dec. 14)— Sophomore goalie Caitlin Avery (East Hampton, CT) and midfielder Nicole Sieber (Newtown, CT) have been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Performance Subaru Women's Division III All-New England Regional First Team on Tuesday.

Avery is coming off an outstanding first season for the 15-5-1 Colonials. She allowed just eight goals in 20 games and registered a 0.45 goals-against average and tallied eight shut outs. Teamed with one of the finest defenses in the region, Avery had to make just 48 saves in over 1,600 minutes of action and comprised a .857 save percentage.

Western shut out a program-record 13 straight opponents this past season and appeared in its ninth NCAA Tournament.

Sieber, a graduate student participating in her final year of eligibility, finished third on the team with six goals and six assists for 18 total points.
