DaQuan Brooks named Little East Men's Basketball Player of the Week
for the fifth time this season after leading Colonials to a pair of wins

NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA (Feb. 13) — Western Connecticut State University senior guard DaQuan Brooks (Atlanta, GA) has been named Little East Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, for the fifth time this season and third week in a row. Information below is for the week ending February 12.

DaQuan Brooks averaged 42.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game to lead Western Connecticut to a pair of victories over regionally-ranked opponents in Eastern Connecticut and Keene State College this
past week.

The senior from Atlanta, Ga. connected on 43.4 percent (26-for-60) of his attempts from the field to score at least 37 points in each conference contest.

On Feb. 7, Brooks poured in a career-high 48 points, including five 3-pointers, to guide the Colonials past the Warriors.

He handed out the game-winning assist as time expired in overtime to give Western a key conference victory.

Four days later, Brooks recorded 37 points and four rebounds to help the Colonials edge the Owls in overtime. He registered 21 points over the final 25 minutes to propel Western to its fourth straight victory.
