Faculty Biographical Sketches

Jeanette H. Bjurback-Lupinacci, Department of Nursing

Professor Jeanette Bjurback-Lupinacci joins WestConn Nursing faculty full time in the Fall 2007 as an Assistant Professor.  Prof. Lupinacci received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Quinnipiac University, Hamden, CT.  She received her Master of Science Degree (Medical Surgical Clinical Nurse Specialist) from WestConn, Danbury, CT.  Prof. Lupinacci comes to WestConn with 10 years experience in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Nursing-working on an Acute Care Rehabilitation Unit.  She also worked as an adjunct faculty for WestConn Bachelor of Science nursing program while completing her Master’s Degree.  Prof. Lupinacci also worked on a grant funded position between WestConn and Danbury Hospital as a Visiting Assistant Professor for 2 years with experience in Hospital Staff Development (nursing) and Medical Surgical Nursing at WestConn.  Prof. Lupinacci is certified in Rehabilitation Nursing.  She is also a member of the NLN, Sigma Theta Tau, and the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses.  She was selected as Nurse Exemplar at Danbury Hospital in 2003 and served on the Nursing Diabetic Resource Committee.  Currently, she is enrolled in a Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership at the University of Hartford.
