Faculty Biographical Sketches
Adeline Merrill, Department of Education and Educational Psychology
Dr. Adeline Merrill received her ED.D from Teachers College, Columbia University in 1988. She received her M. A. in English and Education from Cambridge University, Cambridge, England in 1979, and she received her B. A in English and Education from Franklin and Marshall College in 1972. Prior to joining the WCSU faculty in 2007, she worked extensively in the public schools as an elementary principal, a middle school principal, K-12 Language Coordinator and a middle school English teacher. Additionally, she ran for and was elected to the Ridgefield, CT Board of Education from 2007-2011. In this position, she served as Ridgefield's representative on the Cooperative Education Services board which oversees educational programs and services for Fairfield County. At WCSU, Dr. Merrill also teaches an M.A.T. course on state level mandates.
