Message from the Dean
A multidisciplinary, professional education school that places student learning first, integrates theory with practice, prepares competent beginning professionals, and contributes to the education, health, and social welfare of the greater community.
If you are interested in teaching, health, nursing, or the social work professions, you have come to the right website. Whether you are seeking information about undergraduate or graduate studies in these professional areas of preparation, I am confident that you will find something of interest.
The School of Professional Studies (SPS) is one of four academic units at Western. The school has undergraduate and graduate degree programs in nursing, community health, health education, wellness management, community counseling, school counseling, social work, elementary education, secondary education, and instructional leadership. Study in these programs includes a strong foundation in liberal arts and sciences.
I encourage you to explore our website and learn more about our school and Western.
