*NEW* Introduction to Microsoft
Word 2007
Word 2007 makes it even easier to format text and
paragraphs; create numbered and bulleted lists; insert
images, clip art, and Word Art. This workshop also
addresses the addition of the
ribbon, as well as the new Office 2007 file formats.
This is a must for anyone who
wants to stay on top of emerging technologies.
*NEW* Introduction to Microsoft
Excel 2007
This workshop will help you learn the basics of
Microsoft Excel 2007. Topics include formatting data,
using formulas, graphing data, and
much more. Menu options and
file formats also change on this refreshed version of
Excel. This is one not to miss.
*NEW* Introduction to Microsoft
PowerPoint 2007
PowerPoint presentations have become even easier to
create using this updated feature-rich version. In
addition to PowerPoint basics, this workshop will
explore the new tools for creating animations, using
templates, utilizing multimedia, and much more. Menu
options and file formats also change in PowerPoint 2007.

Introduction to Microsoft Access 2007
This workshop will teach you how to create a
databases to store information. Topics that will be
discussed include: tables, queries, forms, and reports.

Introduction to Microsoft FrontPage 2003
This workshop provides you with tools to make
website developing quick and easy. Instead of creating
pages in HTML (HyperText Markup Language), the web's
underlying language, you use menus and commands similar
to those found in other Microsoft applications.
Introduction to Microsoft Publisher
This workshop will help you create distinctive
publications (newsletters, booklets, brochures,
programs, catalogues, fliers, signs, etc.) with little
effort. Publisher is easy to use and will make your
publications look professional.
Using your
WestConn Email
This workshop will instruct you on using WestConn's
e-mail system. It will cover using mail (sending,
receiving and forwarding mail, sending attachments, and
creating folders), utilizing the built-in calendaring
system, and creating to do lists.

All workshops are located in the
Student Technology Training Center (STTC), located on
the university's Midtown campus in the Student Center,
room 225.
All sessions are approximately one hour long.
No appointment is necessary.
Schedules are posted every month and are available at
the STTC, Midtown Computer Center, Westside Computer
Center, and
online.
STTC workshops and tutorials are
FREE for students, funded by your student technology
fee.
