Student Organization Invitation Forms for Individual Students are due March 13, 2009.

Use the Additional Student Invitation Form for ... you guessed it ... additional students.

To nominate your student organization for an award, please complete the
Student Organization Award Nomination Form by March 2, 2009.  A list of student organizations by category can be found here.

Invitations will be mailed out to students and parents as requested.  Everyone invited should let us know by May 1, 2009  if they are going to attend. 

If your organization would like to become a sponsor and make a donation, please read through this letter explaining the new 3 tier set-up.

History
The Student Leadership Recognition Banquet is an annual event that celebrates and recognizes the achievements of WestConn's student leaders through a festive banquet and awards ceremony attended by students, parents, faculty and staff alike. 

The banquet was first held in 1985 and has grown in attendance and significance ever since.  Held at first on campus and then at various locations in the Greater Danbury area, the last few years have seen it held consistently at the elegant Amber Room Colonnade in Danbury. 

The event is held annually on the first Thursday in May and has grown from just a few to as many as 500 guests at one time.  Every year student organizations are asked to name two members deserving of recognition who will be invited to the banquet.  Additional club members and parents may also be invited at cost and will be sent invitations upon request.
