Purpose
Western Connecticut State University and the CSU system have developed certain institutional values and
expectations. All members of the university are expected to conduct themselves
in a manner consistent with these values and expectations, and to comply with rules and policies in place while the individual is a
member of the university community.
Disciplinary procedures have been established to ensure fair and consistent enforcement of the student code outlined in the
Student Code of Conduct and Statement of Disciplinary Procedures
section of the Student Handbook. These procedures are designed to provide impartial consideration of the facts and circumstances surrounding an alleged violation of the
code, and to
provide sanctions consistent with the severity of the violation.
All members of the community are expected to be familiar with the Connecticut State University Guidelines for the
Student Code of Conduct and Statement of
Disciplinary Procedures contained
in the Student Handbook.
