Summer 2013 Financial Aid

What is Available?
Federal Direct Loans are available to students for the summer sessions who qualify. There are no grants allocated during the summer sessions.
Who is eligible?
In order to be eligible to apply for Federal Direct Loans, you must satisfy the following requirements:
- Must plan on registering for a minimum of 6 credits during the summer.
- Must be matriculated.
- Must have a complete Financial Aid file for 2012-2013.
- Must have satisfied all previous balances.
- Must have a 2.0 GPA.
How to apply?
The student must complete a Summer 2013 School Loan Applicationand submit it to the Office of Student Financial Services. Applications can be submitted via fax to 203-837-8528 or via email to wcsufinancialaid@wcsu.edu. Applications be will be processed within 3 business days from the date that the form is submitted, at which point students will receive an email notification of their eligibility and further instruction. If at the time of evaluation, students are registered for their summer courses, any loan amount that students are eligible for will be automatically awarded to them and available to view on WestConnduit. Should students wish to decline or reduce the loan amount awarded to them, they must complete the Student Loan Change Request Form located on the Student Financial Services website.
