For Band Instrumentalists (Grades 5-12) Residents: $715; Commuters $525
The WCSU Summer Music Camp is a one-week residential camp for instrumentalists grades 5-12. Students will have the opportunity to perform in traditional concert band, jazz band and orchestra at three different levels. Electives will include music theory, class piano and music technology in our fully-equipped state-of-the-art MIDI lab and chamber ensembles. The week will begin with an audition by each participant for ensemble placement and culminate with a concert for the parents. Campers will be housed in Fairfield Hall and will be supervised by adult live in counselors who are first aid certified. Free time is spent in organized activities that are age level appropriate such as: concerts and performances by our faculty and guests; movies shown in our full size theater; volleyball, kickball, wiffle ball, frisbee etc.
Whether you are 10 years old and looking forward to attending a music camp for the first time or a high school student looking to expand your playing experience you will find the WCSU Summer Music Camp a stimulating and exciting summer musical experience.
