How does Microsoft Forefront work?
The Microsoft ForeFront system is a service provided to WCSU by the Microsoft Corporation as part of our university Microsoft licensing. It will examine all incoming Internet email (transmitted via SMTP) looking for characteristics that will distinguish legitimate email from spam. Any message found to be legitimate will pass through to the recipient's InBox. Any message identified as spam, or likely spam, will be quarantined on the Microsoft ForeFront server in the Junk Box area.
