  Four Steps to Taking the MAT Examination  

STEP 1 - Decide Which Date to Take the MAT  

MAT exams are offered every 4 to 6 weeks throughout the year except for summer months.

STEP 2 - Register with WCSU Testing Center

REGISTRATION: Mail or drop off your completed registration form as soon as possible by submitting the registration form  along with the required fee to WCSU Testing Center Registration forms will not be accepted without payment. All communication from the Testing Center is conveyed through email including confirmation letters.

TESTING SESSIONS:   Exams start promptly at 9:00am, 11:00am, and 1:00pm. Candidates are scheduled in the order their registration form is received starting with the 9:00am session and rolling over into the next available time. Candidates are required to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to appointment time. You will not be admitted after the testing session has begun. Late arrivers will need to reregister and submit the non-refundable registration fee again so plan accordingly.

ALTERNATIVE TESTING DATE:  In the event that the dates posted is not convenient, you may schedule an Individualized Testing Sessions at an additional fee of $50 payable in cash only.  Alternative Testing Date may be scheduled Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., upon availability of the proctor and by appointment only. CANDIDATES WITH DISABILITIES:   Check the appropriate box on the registration form and attach your justification from your doctor. Submit your registration form at least three weeks prior to the test date. For more information visit Disability Accommodations

Additional Information

SCORE REPORTS:  Pearson does all the scoring and reporting of scores for the MAT. WCSU Testing Center is responsible for administering the test. You will receive a print out of your raw score at the completion of the exam.

RETAKING MAT EXAM:  Candidates may repeat the MAT examination with a retake ticket received from Pearson.

FEES & TYPE OF PAYMENT ACCEPTED:  There is a non-refundable or transferable payment for the MAT exam. Testing fees are subject to change without notice. Refer to fees page.

CONFIRMATION:  Once WCSU Testing Center receives your completed registration form with payment and it is approved, you will receive a detailed confirmation letter with the date selected, time and pertinent information via email. It is the responsibility of the applicant to follow up with the test center if you have not received confirmation prior to the selected test date.
