From the NewsTimes
8/12/2011: Scenes of the feature-length film
"The Reluctant Detective" were filmed last Friday at
locations in Danbury, including the
Danbury Railway Museum on White Street.
The comedy, written
and directed by Stratford's Christopher Lombardi and
produced by Danbury's Erik Tonner '04,
centers on a television actor who plays a detective
on a popular cable TV show and becomes involved in a
murder investigation while vacationing in a
small town.
Scenes for the movie,
which started production in 2010, were also filmed
in Stratford, at the
Brookfield Theatre for the Arts and at the
Concordia Society on Crosby Street, using a
downstairs bar to recreate a 1930s speakeasy. Local
residents were among actors playing various roles in
the movie.
