Anthony Cochrane – Adjunct Professor (Performing Shakespeare, Director)

Anthony Cochrane (Adjunct Professor) is an actor/composer from Scotland who now resides in New Jersey.

Cochrane’s Broadway acting credits include The Audience with Helen Mirren. War Horse, the TONY winning trilogy, The Coast of Utopia by Tom Stoppard and Cymbeline at Lincoln Center Theater; Off-Broadway credits include Nikolai And The Others, LCT, Cato, The Flea, Othello, Cyrano de Bergerac, Much Ado About Nothing, Julius Caesar, King Lear, Twelfth Night, The Iliad, The Man Who Would Be King, The Invisible Man and Romeo and Juliet (European tour) all with Aquila Theatre Company. BAM: Dense Terrain (Doug Varone and Dancers); Carnegie Hall: Médéé.  Regional credits include Great Expectations, (Syracuse Stage); Julius Caesar, Henry VIII, (Folger Shakespeare Theatre); Timon Of Athens, Hamlet, All’s Well That Ends Well. Cochrane was Associate Director & Composer/Musical Director of the Aquila Theatre Company for 12 years.  In this capacity he has written musical scores and collaborated on the creation of more than 20 productions. He scored Timon Of Athens and As You Like It recently for the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. Cochrane’s film scores include Alex Webb’s films Pizza, the award winning The Girl From 2C and Hove (The Wind), and Robert Richmond’s Dreadful Sorry.
