Into the Woods was James Dardenne’s first production at WCSU. Recent design credits include Off-Broadway: Hauptmann (Cherry Lane), Runt of the Litter (37 Arts), Regional: A Chorus Line (Paper Mill Playhouse), Almost Heaven (Denver Center), Grease and My Fair Lady (Paramount, Chicago), Aida (Scenery and Projections, Drury Lane), Lost Boys of Sudan (Scenery and Projections, Victory Gardens), Michael Margaret Pat and Kate (Marin Theatre Co., San Francisco – Bay Area Critics Circle Award, Drama Logue Award), Vivisections from the Blown Mind (Goodman Theatre, Chicago), Blues in the Night (Northlight Theatre, Chicago). World Premieres (Among 25): Lonely Planet (Stephen Dietz), Bad Moon (Rick Cleveland), Pecong (Steve Carter - Jeff Nomination), Music From A Locked Room (John Logan), Freefall (Charles Smith), Ourselves Alone (Ann Devlin), The Stick Wife (Derrah Cloud) Centenial Casting (Gino DiIorio and Nancy Bleemer) and The Goldman Project (Stacey Sweeden). Dardenne owns the New York based-design company, Dardenne Design, which specializes in bringing theatrical imagination to Interior and exterior décor, museum exhibitions, media events and displays as well as the performing arts.
