For Prospective Students Interested in Theatre Arts
We recommend prospective students come see what Theatre Arts at WestConn is all about and see if we are what YOU are looking for.
You and your parents can come as our guests to any of the shows we produce. We produce large scale musicals, Shakespeare and other classic dramas and comedies in our 600 seat Berkshire Theatre. We produce smaller shows including student generated works in the Reimold Theatre, our black box space. If you are adventurous, you can come to our New York Show.
Sit in on classes. You are welcome to attend any of our classes that interest you. Attend acting, puppetry, stage combat, musical theatre, management or any design/tech class or other class that strikes your fancy.
Take a tour of our facilities and see our stages, rehearsal rooms, new computer lab, scenic arts and crafts room and costume and scene shops.
Spend time with our students. “Chill” with our students in the Green Room, the theatre student lounge. Shadow one of our students and get a feel for what it’s like being a theatre major.
