Logos

For years, the symbol at the center of Western Connecticut State University's logo has been a graphic reproduction of the cupola atop Fairfield Hall. The wordmark underneath the symbol is the university's name. This design is WestConn's official logo and must be used on all electronic and print publications, including ads, brochures, newsletters, Web sites, flyers, program sheets and stationery.

WestConn's logo may be downloaded here and is available in black or reverse type, or in each of the school colors. These single-color logos are the only choices available for use. The logo's basic structure may not be altered in any way. Only WestConn's official logo may be used on marketing, printed or electronic materials.

The official university seal comprises WestConn's wordmark, arranged in circular design around the symbol representing the state of Connecticut. This seal is used on all official documents such as groundbreaking invitations and honorary degrees. Requests for the use of this seal must be made through the Office of University Relations. This official university seal is not available for download.

An alternative seal, bearing the university's wordmark and cupola, is sometimes used in the creation of facility design (i.e. buildings, furniture) and certificate seals. This alternative seal may not be used on invitations, letterhead or for general marketing purposes.
