Eileen Carmody

Bio

Eileen is a fourth year meteorology major (and is working on a history minor) at Western Connecticut State University. She first noticed the weather one day when she was a young child looking up at the clouds moving across the sky, and she developed a passion for severe weather when she was about 7, which has continued to today. In high school, she interned for a summer at Talcott Mountain Science Center. While she was there, she worked with a meteorologist on time-lapses of clouds and helped with the summer camp. She has been involved in several organizations at Western, including Grasso Hall Council, College Republicans, and Newman Club. She is also a mentor in the New Roots Mentorship Program. Her activities outside of school include karate, and she enjoys hiking in her spare time.
