David Haliczer, born in Atlanta, Georgia and currently residing in Allendale, New Jersey, is a senior at Western Connecticut State University. He has been fascinated by the weather since he was a young boy. Growing up, David was captivated by the weather channel and books about extremes in weather. It’s been a dream come true for him to study meteorology and upon graduation he plans to attend graduate school pursuing a PhD in Meteorology. His area of focus will be trying to unlock the many mysteries of severe weather and tornadoes so the public will be better prepared and warned. Besides forecasting the weather, David is also a musician. He has been playing piano since the age of six and clarinet since the age of ten. He was even a member of the Symphonic Band here at WestConn. David likes hanging around with friends and family… and enjoys sports! He enjoys both playing sports and watching some of his favorite teams including the New York Yankees, Brooklyn Nets, New Jersey Devils, and New York Jets.
