GRANT SEMINAR – ADVANCE YOUR RESEARCH AGENDA
On Wednesday, Dec. 16, the Grants Office will host a seminar entitled “Writing, Assembling and Reviewing Your CSU Research Grant” in Warner Hall, Room 315, from noon to 12:45 p.m. and at 3 p.m. in the Westside Campus Center, Room 315. H1N1 vaccination clinic
On Wednesday, Dec. 16, an H1N1 vaccination clinic will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. at Rogers Park Middle School. The vaccination is available to anyone up to age 24. If you are between 24 and 64 years old, you can get the vaccination if you have a chronic medical condition such as asthma, diabetes, COPD, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, or immune deficiencies due to illness or medical treatment. Pregnant women and those who are household members or direct caregivers to infants under 6 months old also can receive the vaccination. FAMILY THANKSGIVING EVENT
On Thursday, Dec. 17, WestConn will host "We Are All Americans" at 10 a.m. at the Ellsworth Avenue Elementary School at 55 Ellsworth Ave. in Danbury. Original songs and dances will be performed by students from WCSU and Ellsworth Avenue Elementary School. The event will be free and the public is invited. For more information, call x78412.
PLANETARIUM SHOW AND TELESCOPE VIEWING
On Saturday, Dec. 19, WestConn will host a 4:30 p.m. planetarium show, "Winter Skies," followed by telescope viewing of Uranus, the Pleiades star cluster, the Orion nebula and the winter sky, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Westside Observatory and Planetarium.
