SPANISH 211: GLOBAL ACADEMY I

* Spanish immersion for 4 hours M-F in small groups with
native speakers and faculty from WCSU Spanish
* Field experiences including sea turtle research and
biodiversity study with faculty from WCSU Biology
* Volunteer work with community
organizations / schools.
* All levels of Spanish are welcome.
* Students complete final projects based on
interdisciplinary cultural content of the course.

This course completes the language requirement in
Spanish.
* This course is a NWC (Non-western culture) Gen Ed
course.
Pre-requisites/co-requisite:
One semester of Spanish study or
placement examination by oral proficiency examination.
Students registering in SPA 211 may not register
concurrently in SPA 411.
SPANISH 411:
GLOBAL ACADEMY II

* Spanish immersion for 4 hours M-F in small groups with
native speakers and faculty from WCSU Spanish
* Field experiences including sea turtle research and
biodiversity study with faculty from WCSU Biology
* Volunteer work and immersion in an educational field
experience for comparative cultural study.
* All levels of Spanish are welcome.
* Students complete final instructional projects based
on educational field experience and sustainability.
