Ten Minute Play & Webisode Festival
All WCSU students are invited to submit ten minute plays and web productions. A jury of top theater and media professionals select ten entries in each categories. Professional actors and directors will join students presenting these play readings and web productions at this special annual event held in April.
Breakfast with the Author
The April Festival honors outstanding Fiction and Poetry students at a breakfast with a major author. Student selections will be included in the event program.
The festival will given student writers:
- recognition by a professional jury drawn from theatre and media
- an opportunity to see and hear their words come alive
- a collaborative experience working with professional actors and directors
- an inter-departmental experience working with Communications and Theater students
- a credit on their resumes
- an opportunity to see the webisodes screen on Charter Cable Television
- the experience of having their plays read at a Morning Seminar at the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
