This is the easiest to test, simply put your mouse aside and try navigating the page using only your keyboard.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/webaim.org\/techniques\/alttext\/\"><strong>2.\u00a0Images with Alt Text &#8211; <\/strong><\/a>Alternative text allows individuals who use a screen reader to have knowledge of the picture included within the website through a description of the image included in the alternative text function of the image.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/webaim.org\/articles\/contrast\/\"><strong>3.\u00a0Colors That Do Not Convey Content &#8211; <\/strong><\/a>When colors are used, they must have sufficient contrast and not convey meaning. The most pressing issue is that the text stands out against the background.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/webaim.org\/techniques\/semanticstructure\/\"><strong>4. Headers to Support Structure &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>Headings provide an outline so that a user will understand the page layout. Headings also provide for a more organized website for all users, regardless of using assistive technology.<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/WAI\/tutorials\/forms\/\">5. Tagged Forms &#8211;<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>Forms are extremely useful for a wide variety of sites, but need to be designed carefully to include clearly labeled fields. Forms should allow users to &#8220;tab&#8221; through each field of the form and include descriptive text in each field for screen readers.<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/WAI\/tutorials\/tables\/\">6. Tables Only for Tabular Data &#8211;<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>Tables should be created in the simplest way. It is best to avoid using tables for anything but tabular data. Instead, columns can be used to divide content into sections.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/webaim.org\/techniques\/hypertext\/link_text\"><strong>7. Descriptive Hyperlinks &#8211;<\/strong><\/a> Linked text within a website should use descriptive text rather than the full website address.
