Effective 2024-2025<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(Incoming Students)<\/em><\/p>\n

WCSU offers a variety of merit-based scholarships to newly admitted first-time, full-time\u00a0Freshman\u00a0and Transfers who apply and are accepted by\u00a0May 1<\/strong>.\u00a0Scholarship offers are made through the admission process in accordance with the requirements and criteria for each scholarship.<\/p>\n

These scholarship offers are renewable for up to a maximum of 8 full-time, consecutive semesters for first-time\u00a0freshman\u00a0(number of eligible semesters for Transfers may vary) and are offered in addition to other need and non-need based\u00a0aid made available through the Office of Financial Aid & Student Employment. No separate application is\u00a0required\u00a0for consideration of merit-scholarships, although a FAFSA\/AACTUS\u00a0is\u00a0required\u00a0for each academic year.<\/p>\n

Incoming residential students\u00a0awarded\u00a0any of the listed below\u00a0merit-based\u00a0scholarships\u00a0are also eligible for a Wolves Den Housing Scholarship\u00a0up to $6,000 ($1,500 annually), on-campus residency is\u00a0required.<\/p>\n

Note:<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0Eligible students may not receive more than one of the listed merit-based scholarships.\u00a0These funds, in combination with other grants, scholarships, and educational\u00a0assistance\u00a0may not exceed direct,\u00a0university billed cost(s) of Tuition & Fees,\u00a0Housing & Food (for campus residency) and an allowable and established allocation of books as listed in the annual Cost of Attendance budget.\u00a0Selections and scholarship\u00a0offer\u00a0are contingent upon availability of funding.<\/p>\n

Presidential Merit Scholarship<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Scholarship amounts up to the annual base in-state tuition and fees. (Does not include program specific fees, NEBE rate fee or other miscellaneous fees). Recipients of this scholarship are invited to participate in the Kathwari Honors Program. Students must maintain a 3.2 GPA, pass and complete a minimum of 12 credits per term to remain eligible.<\/p>\n

Wolves Merit Scholarship<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Scholarship\u00a0amounts\u00a0up to $24,000 ($6,000 annually).\u00a0Students must maintain a 3.0 GPA, pass and complete a minimum of 12\u00a0credits\u00a0per term to remain eligible.<\/p>\n

Connecticut State University (CSU) Trustee Scholarship<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Scholarship amounts up to $16,000 ($4,000 annually). Recipients of this scholarship are invited to participate in the Kathwari Honors Program. Students must maintain a 3.0 GPA, pass and complete a minimum of 12 credits per term to remain eligible.<\/p>\n

Wolves Excellence Scholarship<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Scholarship\u00a0amounts\u00a0up to $16,000 ($4,000 annually). Students must\u00a0maintain\u00a0a 3.0 GPA,\u00a0pass\u00a0and complete a minimum of 12\u00a0credits\u00a0per term.<\/p>\n

Honors Scholarship<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Scholarship amounts up to $8,000 ($2,000 annually). Recipients of this scholarship are invited to participate in the Kathwari Honors Program. Students must maintain a 3.0 GPA, pass and complete a minimum of 12 credits per term.<\/p>\n

Wolves Academic Scholarship<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Scholarship\u00a0amounts\u00a0up to $8,000 ($2,000 annually). Students must\u00a0maintain\u00a0a 3.0 GPA,\u00a0pass\u00a0and complete a minimum of 12\u00a0credits\u00a0per term.<\/p>\n

Wolves Achievement Scholarship<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Scholarship\u00a0amounts\u00a0up to $4,000 ($1,000 annually). Students must\u00a0maintain\u00a0a 3.0 GPA,\u00a0pass\u00a0and complete a minimum of 12\u00a0credits\u00a0per term.<\/p>\n

Wolves Distinction Scholarship<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Scholarship amounts up to $2,000 ($500 annually). Students must maintain a 2.5 GPA, pass and complete a minimum of 12 credits per term.<\/p>\n

Scholarship Reconsiderations<\/strong><\/p>\n

If a student would like to request a scholarship reconsideration for merit scholarships, they must submit<\/strong> the documentation listed below along with a Scholarship Appeals Request Form<\/a><\/p>\n
