Our advisors are here to help you navigate your exploration journey — whether you’re feeling totally undecided or just want to confirm you’re on the right path. During your appointment, you’ll talk about your interests, goals, and academic strengths, and learn how they connect to possible majors at Western.
Your advisor will also introduce you to our Major Exploration Model, which walks you through the key steps of discovering who you are, exploring what’s out there, trying new experiences, and declaring your direction.
Meeting with an advisor is the best first step you can take toward finding a major that fits you — your goals, your strengths, and your future.
Before your first Major Exploration appointment, you’ll complete the Finding Your Fit survey — a short reflection to help you and your advisor better understand your interests, strengths, and goals.
Your responses guide a collaborative conversation where you’ll explore how your values and passions connect to possible majors and careers.
