Deborah Zlotsky

Visiting Artist Lecture

Deborah Zlotsky is a painter represented by Markel Fine Arts in New York and Robischon Gallery in Denver, Colorado. Her drawings are also in the curated flat files of Pierogi Gallery in NYC. She earned her BA in the History of Art from Yale University and her MFA in Painting and Drawing from the University of Connecticut, Storrs.

Zlotsky’s recent exhibitions include solo shows at Robischon Gallery, Kathryn Markel Fine Arts, and the SACI Gallery at Studio Art Center International in Florence, Italy. She has also executed installation drawings at Providence College, Robischon Gallery, and the University of Connecticut. A recipient of numerous awards, she has been granted residency fellowships at Yaddo, the MacDowell Colony, the Saltonstall Foundation, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, Ragdale Foundation and the Bemis Center for Contemporary Art. In 2012, she received a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship in painting. Her works are in numerous private and corporate collections, including Capital One, Progressive Insurance, the Waldorf Astoria, and the Borusan Contemporary Art Collection. Currently she is an Associate Professor at Rhode Island School of Design.
