Born in the Bronx, he studied at the New York Studio School and earned his BA and MFA degrees from Queens College, CUNY. He has taught at Cooper Union and the NY Studio School and currently teaches at Queens College. He has also been a panelist and visiting artist for MFA painting programs at Yale, Columbia, Boston University, American University, Hunter College, and others. A recipient of many awards, he has received grants from the Edward F. Albee Foundation, the Guggenheim Foundation, and the National Endowment for the Arts.<\/p>\n<p>Goldberg\u2019s work has been shown extensively throughout the U.S., with recent solo exhibitions at the Betty Cuningham Gallery and Jason McCoy Gallery in NYC. His exhibition with artist Amber Scoon, entitled \u201c?\u201d (A Series of Collaborative Works) will be on view at WCSU Art Gallery from October 25 \u2013 December 9, 2018. His works are in numerous private and museum collections, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Whitney Museum of American Art, Guggenheim Museum, Brooklyn Museum, National Gallery of Art, High Museum, and Museum of Contemporary Art, LA.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Monday, Nov 5, 11:00 am, VPA 144Glenn Goldberg is a painter who lives and works in NYC.
