      David Boyajian, adjunct professor of Art, installed his latest public art commission this past Friday, April 9, 2021, at 2626 Hylan Blvd. Shopping Plaza in Staten Island New York. <\/span>The sculpture is 15\u2019 tall, 14\u2019 wide, and 6\u2019 deep, and fabricated from Stainless Steel. <\/span><\/p>\n

      Boyajian explains that the sculpture represents dancing seedlings sprouting from the earth. Kimco Realty, developer of the new Plaza, has dubbed the sculpture \u201cRenaissance,\u201d to signify the \u201crebirth\u201d of the shopping center, formerly known as Hylan Plaza.<\/span><\/p>\n

      The elements of nature are present in all of my work, from personal to private and public commissions. In creating public art, I am one of many authors writing the history of man's existence, and that of his attempt to rationally construct and give relevance to his emotional, physical, and spiritual connection to the world.
