The Student Veterans Organization (SVO) is a club established in 2009 to acknowledge the needs of WCSU veterans who wish to better integrate into the university community. Officially recognized and endorsed by the Student Government Association, the SVO is comprised of student veterans who wish to support and serve other veterans — at WCSU and abroad — in a number of ways.
The SVO hosts the annual WCSU Veterans Day Ceremony as well as many other events: Pets and Vets, Obstacle Course Challenge, various film viewings, and much more. Many student veterans find that participating in the SVO provides camaraderie similar to military service, excellent practical and professional experience, and a fantastic method of networking for future careers. Please visit the Student Veterans Lounge on the Midtown campus, Student Center, Room 208.
This lounge is access-controlled so please visit the Office of Veterans Affairs (Old Main 101) in order to gain access.
