your full username in the wcsu.edu domain is user@wcsu.edu.<\/p><p>This looks like an email address, but it's not.\u00a0 It's what's known at WCSU as the User Principal Name, and it acts like a full path into your primary account.\u00a0 We can use this pattern to provision you with access to system-wide applications, in which someone at another institution could have the same local username as you do.\u00a0 You both would be able to use the system with your own accounts because the added domain will make the usernames unique.\u00a0 Our library catalog and online resources systems are organized this way.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li>\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"hfaq\" data-hfaq-state=\"closed\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"hfaq__question\" itemscope itemtype=\"http:\/\/schema.org\/Question\">\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"hfaq__icon\" style=\"height: 24px; Please try again.&#8221;  What does that mean?<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"hfaq__answer\" itemscope itemtype=\"http:\/\/schema.org\/Answer\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"hfaq__answercontent\"><p>When you connect to Banner 9, you're connecting to an app called \"Ellucian Application Navigator.\"\u00a0 Getting logged in is a 3 stage process, and it makes a difference where you save your bookmark, or where you start from (if you use the browser back button or your browser history):<\/p><ol><li>You open a bookmark, click a link, or enter the app path directly.\u00a0 Banner 9 uses a middleman to accept and verify your credentials: Ethos Identity Services<\/li><li>The URL that you use to get to Banner 9 (<a href=\"https:\/\/appnav-prod.ec.wcsu.edu\/applicationNavigator\/seamless\/\">https:\/\/appnav-prod.ec.wcsu.edu\/applicationNavigat...<\/a>) redirects you to Ethos Identity<\/li><li>After you put your\u00a0username and password in and they check out, you are passed through to Application Navigator, and so on to Banner 9<\/li><\/ol><p>If you make your bookmark at step 2, you will bookmark Ethos Identity instead of Banner 9.
