The Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences provides an opportunity for a WCSU student to earn job experience in the field of science communication, marketing, and design. Our department actively works to communicate events, faculty and student research, and department outreach using various social media platforms.
Requirements:

Sophomore standing or higher

GPA: 2.7 or higher

Excellent written or oral skills

Knowledge of WordPress

Knowledge of social media outlets

Great time management
-
Ability to work well independently and collaboratively

Creativity and graphic design background (highly desirable but not required)

Job Opportunity for WCSU Undergraduate Biology Major, funded with National Science Foundation Grant
Responsibilities/Requirements:

Work with a specimen database, specimen preparation, and management of preserved specimens in the WCSU herbarium

Interest and background in the local flora are highly desirable
