{"id":12,"date":"2018-08-23T16:03:55","date_gmt":"2018-08-23T16:03:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wcsu.wpengine.com\/cbr\/?page_id=12"},"modified":"2018-08-23T16:29:31","modified_gmt":"2018-08-23T16:29:31","slug":"faculty-participation","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.wcsu.edu\/cbr\/faculty-participation\/","title":{"rendered":"Faculty Participation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Faculty participation in &#8220;The CBR&#8221; is voluntary.<\/p>\n<p>Research proposals submitted to &#8220;The CBR&#8221; and approved by the Board may be reviewed by faculty.<\/p>\n<p>Faculty volunteers may use the research projects as part of their course work, or work with individual students on the projects through <strong>Student Developed Studies<\/strong> or other vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>The CBR can act in two ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>as an intermediary between faculty and outside organizations (partially compensated or non-compensated projects), and<\/li>\n<li>as a research contractor directly employing students to conduct research under faculty supervision (compensated projects).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The CBR concept is consistent with the missions of WCSU and CSU. Specifically, The CBR will emphasize student achievement, encourage multidisciplinary perspectives, concentrate on applied research, and utilize current technologies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Faculty participation in &#8220;The CBR&#8221; is voluntary.
