Introduction of new members: Forest Robertson, Paul Echeverria, and Jessica Eckstein.<\/p>\n<p>2. The scribe for the day is Rondall Khoo.<\/p>\n<p>Old Business:<\/p>\n<p>1. May Meeting Minutes (Stavros Christofi): The minutes were accepted with correction (Usekes\/Khoo, 5-0-1). The Chair of the Communication and Media Arts Department present at the May 2017 meeting was Katy Wiss (not Mary Nelson).<\/p>\n<p>New Business:<\/p>\n<p>1. Helena Prieto was reelected chair by acclamation.<\/p>\n<p>2. Proposal from Digital Interactive Media Arts:<br \/>\na. DIMA addition of art option (CD1617173).<br \/>\nb. New course proposal-ART\/DIMA 2XX Fundamentals of Imaging Software 1 (CD1617198).<br \/>\nc. New course proposal-ART\/DIMA 2XY Fundamentals of Imaging Software 2 (CD1617199).<\/p>\n<p>The proposals were considered as a packet and rejected pending major revisions.<\/p>\n<p>3. Proposal from Biological and Environmental Sciences:<br \/>\na.
