Poor ergonomic practices such as repetitive motions, awkward postures and forceful exertions put workers at risk of injury.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #002856;font-size: 14pt\"><strong>ASSESSMENTS<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #051c2c;font-size: 12pt\">We're here to help keep our workers safe and comfortable in the workplace. If you are interested in completing and ergonomic assessment, reach out to EHS. We will have a representative review your workplace and make recommendations to foster healthy work habits.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #002856;font-size: 14pt\"><strong>HELPFUL TIPS FOR THE OFFICE<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #051c2c;font-size: 12pt\">Adjust the top of your computer monitor to eye level. Avoid having to tilt your head forward or backward.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #051c2c;font-size: 12pt\">Keep your feet flat on the ground. Use a footrest if needed.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #051c2c;font-size: 12pt\">Adjust your keyboard so that your arms are at a 90 degree angle with the body. Your wrists should be straight with your forearms.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #051c2c;font-size: 12pt\">Get up and move. Avoid sitting at your desk for extended periods of time.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;color: #002856\"><strong>HELPFUL TIPS FOR THE FIELD<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #051c2c;font-size: 12pt\">Avoid prolonged periods of bending over<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #051c2c;font-size: 12pt\">Do not twist your body while lifting. If you need to turn, turn your whole body.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #051c2c;font-size: 12pt\">Rotate through different jobs to minimize repetitive motions.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #051c2c;font-size: 12pt\">For overhead work, avoid overreaching.
