DESCRIPTION:STATE MANDATED DIVERSITY TRAINING: Sponsored by the CSCU Office of Equal Opportunity and the WCSU Office(s) Diversity an Equity and Human Resources Department. \nDescription: The CSCC/CSCU is in the process of achieving compliance with this training requirement. This training is also aligned with our values and mission to foster and support our diverse educational and workplace environments. Through this training you will gain an understanding of: \n1. Civil rights and hate crime laws and protections for employees and students.\n2. How discrimination can occur in the workplace.\n3. Standards for working with and serving people from diverse backgrounds.\n4. Strategies for addressing differences that may arise in a diverse work environment. \nPlease use the following information below to register for the training session. Please be advised that this is a two-part training starting with a 2 hour web-based session conducted by the Equal Employment Opportunity Center of Excellence followed by an online module through NEOGOV. DESCRIPTION:FREE BLS CERTIFICATIONS HOSTED BY SNA: The Student Nurses’ Association is excited to inform you that this semester we will be holding 30 BLS CPR certification classes taught by AHA instructor Mark Keller on the Midtown Campus in Warner Hall 101 Lyceum South. \nThis is a hybrid certification course which requires the completion of an online module\, completion of the online module survey\, and printing out the certificate of completion that you MUST BRING to your 1-hour in-person training from noon to 6 p.m. on March 23. SUMMARY:Climate and Human Civilization
DESCRIPTION:CLIMATE AND HUMAN CIVILIZATION: The Jane Goodall Center presents the 7th annual series of lectures for the general public on climate change. WCSU faculty and students will discuss topics ranging from the relationship of climate change to major disasters\, mental health\, environmental justice\, and fish physiology. All lectures are scheduled in Science Building 125 and start at 7 p.m. (with the exception of the 3/28 lecture which starts at 7:30 p.m.).
