Round trip tickets are $14 per person and are available at the VPA Box Office or can be purchased through Eventbrite (link below). Open to WCSU Art Students as well as all SVPA students\, alumni\, faculty and staff (& guests). Seating is limited. Ticket sales end when the bus is full! No Refunds unless the bus trip is canceled. All ART classes on Thurs\, April 27th are canceled. (Arrangements may need to be made with instructors of other non-art classes.) DESCRIPTION:CALL TO ACTION: CSCU BUDGET RALLY:  The State of Connecticut is currently in legislative session and the future of the CSCU system budget\, which includes WCSU\, is being debated. President Cheng and Interim President Beran are calling on all students\, faculty\, and administration to come show support for WCSU. \nGeneral Information: \n\nWe encourage those attending to wear your WCSU apparel/gear.\nPlease plan to be at the Capitol for 2-3 hours.\n\nMeeting Time & Location:  \n\nWe will gather in the 1st Floor Atrium of the Legislative Office Building “LOB” (300 Capitol Avenue\, Hartford) between 10 to 10:30 a.m. The entire CSCU group will then proceed to the Capitol where we will engage and lobby members outside the House and Senate chambers\, where they are expected to gavel in at 11:00 a.m.\n\nWCSU Transportation: \n\nWe will provide a 40-passenger bus for those needing transportation. DESCRIPTION:WCSU FOOD PANTRY: The WCSU Food Pantry is now open for all students on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. \nThe WCSU Food Pantry is designed to provide support to students who are experiencing food insecurity for any reason. The WCSU Food Pantry is located in the Wolves Den in the lower level of the Midtown Student Center. Students may visit the WCSU Food Pantry once a week for up to twenty (20) items. We are also looking for volunteers to staff the WCSU Food Pantry. \nPlease contact the Dean of Students Office at (203) 837-9700 for more information. \nOn days the university is closed for holidays or inclement weather\, the food pantry will also be closed.

DESCRIPTION:26TH ANNUAL JAZZ FEST FEATURING WCSU JAZZ GROUPS: Jazz Fest Thursday returns with five outstanding groups: three combos and two large ensembles! \nStarting off the evening is the Vocal Jazz Ensemble featuring arrangements by director WCSU Co-Coordinator of Jazz Studies Jamie Begian and Joe Conticello. \nFollowing the Vocal Jazz Ensemble will be three combos coached by WCSU faculty Deborah Weisz\, Jamie Begian\, and Jeff Siegel\, all performing a mix of Songbook classics and Jazz Standards. The event takes place from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Veronica Hagman Concert Hall in the Visual and Performing Arts Center. \nClosing the night will be the Jazz Ensemble directed by Jamie Begian and featuring a mix of traditional repertoire and compositions by the director. \n**Free tickets for Faculty\, Staff and WCSU Students are available at the VPAC box office located in the VPAC lobby – a valid WCSU ID is required at the time of purchase** \nNOTE: Advance ticket purchases made online are $7 plus fees; Tickets purchased at the door are $10. \nNo refunds or exchanges are permitted\, all sales are final.
