DESCRIPTION:SENIOR PORTRAITS: Event & Conference Management Department and The Centers will host Senior Portraits on Thursday\, April 11\, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.\, Midtown Student Center Theater; and Friday\, April 12\, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.\, Westside Campus Center Ballroom. By appointment only. There is no sitting fee and you will be able to view your proofs online. Cap and gown will be available for the portraits\, and we recommend that you dress as for a job interview. To make an appointment please visit www.thorntonstudio.com\, click on “schedule appt” and use the school code 01380. If you need to change your appointment\, just select a new date & time and your previous appointment will be automatically cancelled. DESCRIPTION:SURVIVOR ART GALLERY: The Center for Empowerment and Education is hosting their annual Survivor Art Gallery on Friday\, April 12\, from 2-8 p.m. and Saturday\, April 13\, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Campus Center Ballroom on the Westside Campus showcasing students’ and community members’ paintings\, drawings\, photography\, poems\, stories\, and more that exemplify their story of abuse\, assault\, trauma\, healing and survival. DESCRIPTION:SIP & SKETCH: Enjoy a creative and entertaining evening combining drawing from a live model with music\, wine\, and light refreshments from 7 to 9 p.m. Guided by Megan Marden\, M.F.A. alumna and an experienced artist. This event is open to participants of all levels and backgrounds\, from the seasoned to the beginner\, to participate in a shared art experience in a fun and relaxed studio environment. Located in the Drawing Studio\, room 241 of the Visual & Performing Arts Center\, 43 Lake Ave Extension in Danbury. Basic drawing materials are provided and you are welcome to bring your own.
