DESCRIPTION:SENIOR PORTRAITS: Event & Conference Management Department will host Senior Portraits on Thursday\, Feb. 6\, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Westside Campus Center Ballroom; and Friday\, Feb. 7\, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Midtown Student Center Theater. By appointment only. There is no sitting fee and you will be able to view your proofs online. Cap and gown will be available for the portraits\, and we recommend that you dress as for a job interview. DESCRIPTION:GALLERY OPENING – COLOR + LIGHT: \nOn view Feb. 7 – March 2\, 2025\nClosing Reception: Sunday\, March 2\, noon – 2 p.m. \nFritz Horstman\nAnne Lindberg\nGreg Lock\nPete Mauney\nColleen McGuire\nJulia Rooney \nPost-Impressionist artist George Seurat’s most famous painting “A Sunday on La Grande Jatte” inspired Stephen Sondheim’s musical “Sunday in the Park with George” WCSU Dept. of Theatre Arts’ spring production (Feb. 21 – March 2). The exhibition Color and Light\, presented in conjunction with the production\, features six visual artists whose works are concerned with the interaction of color and the phenomenon of light. The exhibition will include artworks in cyanotype\, drawing\, painting\, photography\, stop motion animation\, and video. The title Color and Light is derived from a song in Act I; a “sneak peek” performance of the song by cast members is planned as part of the reception on Feb. 6. DESCRIPTION:BLACK HISTORY MONTH WEEK 1: This February\, in celebration of Black History Month\, our dining hall is proud to present four weeks of diverse and flavorful menus honoring Black culture and cuisine. Each week will highlight a different culinary theme\, served at both campuses during dinner from 4 to 8 p.m. Week 1 kicks off with dishes inspired by West African flavors: on Monday\, Feb. 3\, enjoy Jollof Rice and Suya (Spicy Meat Skewers); Wednesday\, Feb. 5\, savor Fufu with Egusi Soup; and Friday\, Feb. 7\, indulge in Kansiye and Alloco.
