DESCRIPTION:UTILIZING CIVIC ENGAGEMENT AS A MEANS FOR CAREER READINESS: The Office of Diversity\, Equity\, and Inclusion is promoting this virtual webinar from HACU (Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities). \nHACU is hosting a webinar\, “Utilizing Civic Engagement as a Means for Career Readiness” from 5 to 6 p.m.  The webinar will be presented by Maria Alejandro\, program director for the center for civic and community-engaged leadership at the University of Texas at San Antonio\, and Stephanie King\, senior director of strategic initiatives for the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge. \nThe webinar will focus on how civic engagement can enhance career development by offering opportunities to learn new skills\, expand networks\, and gain experience. Specifically\, participating in civic-based activities can help students acquire the skills that employers most seek.
