The program is designed to empower WestConn undergraduates to become transformative leaders. This program connects students with real-world mentors\, equips them with invaluable leadership skills\, and prepares them to inspire and influence in their careers and communities. Students with 30 – 100 earned credits and a GPA of 3.3 or higher are eligible to apply. \nApplications will be accepted on a rolling basis. A nationally recognized expert on free speech and civil rights\, Strossen is the author of many books\, including most recently “The War On Words: 10 Arguments Against Free Speech—And Why They Fail.” \nShe will discuss current debates about free speech and the history of the American Constitution in conversation with Dr. Howell Williams\, Associate Professor of Political Science\, followed by a Q&A. \nAt 2:30 p.m. in the Student Center Theater on the Midtown campus.
